Lin Xun first changed Wen Ruolan's opinion of him one evening after night study.
A group of troublemakers from their class had cornered a girl whose appearance was far from perfect. They were making jokes, but their words carried unmistakable contempt and mockery.
Wen Ruolan held a pen in one hand and clenched her other fist, but she couldn't find the courage to stop them.
A moment later, footsteps sounded at the entrance, seeming to bring a gust of wind with them. The boys turned at the sound and, for some reason, fell silent.
Wen Ruolan sensed something was wrong, afraid Lin Xun might join their side.
Instead, he glanced over, took in the situation, and walked toward them in silence. After a few seconds, he said casually, "That's enough. What kind of tough guy picks on girls?"
