In modern times, Lu Wuyou succumbed to illness and died young. Then he transmigrated into the world of The New Return of the Condor Heroes.
Because he likes Li Mochou as played by Zhang Xinyu, the newly transmigrated Lu Wuyou swears to love her and everyone connected to her.
Their first meeting:
Five-year-old Lu Wuyou grinned cheekily. "I'm the eldest son of the Lu family. You say you'll kill everyone surnamed Lu and Yuan, so shouldn't I be the first?"
Li Mochou: "Brat, wait ten years until that old bald monk is gone. You'll be the first one I kill."
They meet again ten years later:
Lu Wuyou teases a certain prisoner at his feet. "My name is Wuyou, and yours is Mochou. Sounds like we're a match made in heaven."
Li Mochou: "Get lost!!!"
After they fall in love:
Lu Wuyou kneels by the bed, rubbing a washboard and reciting 'Guan Guan Ju Jiu' from the Book of Songs with a look of utter despair.
The person on the bed eagerly eats grapes. Seeing this, Lu Wuyou can only smile indulgently. He spoils her, so he has to make it up to her.
"A graceful, fair maiden is a fitting mate for a gentleman... A graceful, fair maiden, by day and night I long for her."
