Stealing Away the Spring

A cool, scheming, well-behaved little white flower × a cold, possessive heir to a wealthy family

Chao Mian approaches Ji Zhiheng with a secret motive.

She brings the aloof flower down from his pedestal, then cruelly breaks up with him after winning his heart.

She thought someone as blessed as Ji Zhiheng would only be temporarily infatuated with her, and would never lower himself to ask her to get back together.

But she never expected that she had provoked a possessive man who had been coveting her for a long time.

After their falling-out, the two should have had nothing more to do with each other.

One day, Ji Zhiheng stopped Chao Mian and asked her in a gloomy voice, "Wasn't I pretending well enough? Why don't you like me yet?"

Only then did Chao Mian realize that all the signs had been there. The little tricks she thought she'd been carefully using were only working because he had deliberately played along.

She was the prey, watched closely all along.

Everyone in the upper circles of Jing City knew that the Ji family's untouchable young master doted on his lovely junior schoolmate.

Some people sneered, "Once Ji Zhiheng gets bored, this ordinary girl will be old news before long."

Someone in the know scoffed at that.

He still remembered the day he accidentally saw the two of them arguing.

The usually noble and aloof Ji Zhiheng held Chao Mian close and lowered himself to plead, "I don't mind if you play with me, Mianmian. Let's make up."
