The boy was quiet and gloomy. His only hobby was sitting beside her and running his fingers through her fluffy coat.

Later, once the boy had taken the throne of the gods, his hobby changed. He would sit on his divine throne, holding Yang Tuotuo, now a soft and sweet young woman, and coax her while handling official business.

For some reason, the Divine Venerable Qixi fell into a deep sleep for a thousand years. When he awoke, he had become an outer disciple of a sect.

He had a stunning face, but was often bullied.

Then he picked up a fluffy little creature: greedy, timid, and fond of spitting. Aside from being fluffy, it had no good points!

But this little creature was the one who pulled him out of the abyss.

The taciturn Divine Venerable decided to raise (and pet) the little thing properly.

Later, the little creature turned into a soft, sweet girl, the kind you just wanted to cherish with all your heart.

Reader's note: When the heroine is in her original form, she can't control herself and spits. She doesn't do it at other times. This is a goofy, sweet story about two people who each think they're the one raising the other.
