Do You Still Need to Audition for Your Play? (GL)

Mo Mangbei's girlfriend is an obscure contracted author on an online platform, and she's been struggling to gain traction for ten years.

To fulfill her girlfriend's dream of becoming famous, Mo Mangbei tried a different approach and brought her into the online voice-acting scene, where she became a voice actor and Mo Mangbei "played" herself.

With Mo Mangbei managing her career, her girlfriend rose to become a top-tier star in the field, and even her novels became popular.

Just as Mo Mangbei was ready to bow out after achieving her goal, a devastating betrayal hit her like a ton of bricks:

Her girlfriend and another top-tier star voice actor had started out pretending to be a couple, but somewhere along the way, they became one for real.

--

After being betrayed, Mo Mangbei returned to how she'd been at the beginning: she stopped thinking about fame and traffic, and focused on doing what she wanted.

A famous voice actor? I'll audition for them too.

An adaptation of an IP? No need, I'll write an original.

She started a new account from scratch, but with no work to show, she kept hitting a wall whenever she tried to hire voice actors.

Until one day, a voice actor messaged her:

"Hello, are you still holding auditions for your audio drama?"

The person had no credits at all, and their QQ account was only level one.

Mo Mangbei opened the audition they'd sent and nearly fell out of her chair in shock.

Th-this... Isn't this that legendary professional voice actor, the goddess who charges ten thousand yuan for a single line?

Duan Rui has a little secret. Back when she was still a nobody, she met a producer who didn't care that she was so obscure she didn't even have a single follower. The producer gave her leading roles, praised her talent, and encouraged her whenever she doubted herself.

Then the producer suddenly changed her style and stopped hiring nobodies like her. Duan Rui felt disappointed, but couldn't let go, so she could only follow her in silence.

Later, Duan Rui became famous, while the producer found a regular voice actor. That voice actor played the heroine in all of the producer's dramas.

They had no chance to work together.

Until one day, she met her again.

As soon as she saw the script, she knew the person she'd been waiting for had returned.

So she made a new account and gathered her courage. Just like all those years ago, she messaged her privately:

"Hello, are you still holding auditions for your audio drama?"

No matter how much fame I gain, I'm still the little voice actor willing to audition for you.
