He's trying to figure out how to kick his nemesis out when he comes to mock him, but he never expects this: The man does come, but instead of mocking him, he proposes. Gu Le: "???" Is something wrong with you? :) * Sheng Xiao watches Gu Le fall on hard times and laughs to the sky: My chance for revenge has come! How can he get Gu Le under his thumb without anyone objecting? How can he make sure outsiders won't find fault with him? The miserly, prideful Mr. Sheng slaps his forehead. He's got it. Get married! He recalls the plot of the angsty CEO romances he's read, rubbing his hands together in excitement. #Do you want to save your family? Then serve me well# #I'll humiliate you mercilessly# #Hahahahahaha# But Mr. Sheng is so excited that he forgets to sign a prenuptial agreement. Their assets belong to both of them. What's his is yours, and what's yours is his. Gu Le: "Well, well." Sheng Xiao sees his nemesis grin at him, showing off his little white teeth. Sheng Xiao: "..." Damn it, I messed up. How did I become the miserable protagonist of a melodramatic romance?! * At first: Assistant: "Chairman Sheng, here's the young master's spending for this month." Sheng Xiao clutches his chest. "That much? Does he think my money grows on trees?" He grabs his phone, ready to tear into him, but Gu Le's lazy voice comes through the other end. "Since we're legally married, your money is my money. Why make a distinction between us? No need to thank me." "Beep, beep..." Sheng Xiao, with blood caught in his throat: "..." Damn it, you little brat! Later: Assistant: "Chairman Sheng, Young Master Gu went to Feihong Island for a holiday. He likes the place and wants to buy the island." Sheng Xiao, who had been reviewing documents, sees black spots before his eyes. But his expression stays calm. "Oh. Then get someone to handle it. Why are you telling me?" After his assistant leaves... Sheng Xiao quickly opens his bank account and checks the balance, his heart bleeding. "What a spendthrift. He could at least try to save me some money!" Then he mutters, "Never mind. At least he only wants to buy one island. He didn't say to buy the other ones nearby too. Let him buy it for fun." Reader's guide: 1.
