An Amicable Breakup

On the first day same-sex marriage became legal, recent graduate Sun Nuo couldn't wait to drag Lin Yan to the civil affairs bureau to register their marriage. They became a married same-sex couple.

However, married life was nothing like she'd imagined.

Their marriage had no one's blessing, and her wife was clueless about romance, with nothing on her mind but work.

Though they were partners, they lived like polite strangers.

After being disappointed again and again, Sun Nuo decides their marriage has reached its end and asks for a divorce.

Lin Yan doesn't argue with anything she says or try to cling to her. Instead, she asks for a month apart to clear their heads. If Sun Nuo still wants to break up after a month, Lin Yan won't stop her.

Convinced their marriage has reached its end, Sun Nuo readily agrees.

Lin Yan: You say I don't love you.

You have no idea how much I love you.
