A Rookie's Survival Guide [Holographic]

[Main story complete; extras whenever I feel like it] A lighthearted, satisfying story set in a full-dive virtual MMORPG. Happy ending! Quite a few jokes and setting details came from elsewhere. I got permission from the original author, who even talked me into writing this because he was sick of me bothering him. Blurb: Bai Zhijian is a genius bounty hunter. Even when a mission calls for cross-dressing, he can handle it with ease and carry it out perfectly. But now he faces the biggest challenge of his life! His final bounty hunter mission requires him to play a game! And the game happens to be Eternal Light, the epic fantasy game he'd already planned to try, hoping to experience the ordinary college life he'd rarely gotten to enjoy. Bai Zhijian really wants to beat up his sadistic boss, but all he can do is think about it. Still fuming, Bai Zhijian has just come downstairs when someone picks him. Bai Zhijian, dressed as a woman: ??? Bo Dong, the third young master of the Bo family, is a world-class gaming prodigy, ranked first on the Star Chart and among the top three on the Firmament Chart. The first time his best friend dragged him to a club, he was told to pick someone to drink with. He decided to choose someone cool and aloof who wouldn't make the first move! But five minutes later... He was pinned to the sofa and kissed by force. So much for being aloof and shy, and it being her first time entertaining a customer! "Kid, next time you want to hire a girl to show you the ropes, keep your eyes open." After the forced kiss, Bai Zhijian couldn't resist mocking him. He took Bo Dong's hand, guided it beneath his skirt, then sauntered off. Bo Dong stood there alone, his face turning red, then white, then red again. But what goes around comes around. Once in the game, the genius bounty hunter becomes a total newbie in the blink of an eye. Luckily, he's exceptionally talented and knows how to put on an act, so everyone thinks he's an expert. But one unexpected encounter with a skilled player is enough for that player to see through his disguise. Bo Dong: You're a complete newbie! Bai Zhijian: Everyone starts out as a newbie! One of the newbie's spells triggers Bo Dong's one-of-a-kind hidden class quest. Now Bo Dong has no choice but to form a mercenary group with this newbie, and he's even forced to teach him how to play! A few months later, after the mercenary group completes a world progression quest, everyone agrees to meet up for dinner in real life. That's when Bo Dong discovers that Bai Zhijian is the person who forced that kiss on him. Bo Dong: So, how do you want to die? Bai Zhijian: How about dying on top of you? Bo Dong: ... Gu Jiuzhang: My wooden-headed best friend figured things out overnight, but took a wrong turn. Mu Qing: That's not a newbie's survival guide. It's a love letter he wrote to you in front of everyone.
