Joy of Life: An Unconventional Return to Work After a Layoff

After being dismissed from the Third Office of the Inspectorate, Ming Zhao made a living selling all sorts of pills. Of course, she also earned extra money now and then by helping officials' wives catch their husbands' mistresses or drawing portraits of wanted criminals for the authorities. But how did my drawing end up in the Crown Prince's hands?! And then, for some inexplicable reason, my former boss assigned me to a young investigating officer who had just arrived in the capital. He glanced at her drawing and asked, “A modern person? Have you studied sketching?” Ming Zhao: We both come from the twenty-first century, so why am I doing so badly? Be grateful. Is a Second Princess Consort really that miserable? Content warnings: The heroine is both clever and capable in a fight, with a powerful golden finger. A self-indulgent power fantasy with no logic. Thanks! My friend recently got me hooked on Joy of Life and asked me to write a heroine completely different from hers, so this story came about, haha. Updates are irregular, since I'm in my senior year of high school. Theme: Love
