The Heart-Pounding Trap

Written whenever I have the time and feel like it.

Chen Xin wished her parents would bring home a beautiful, pitiful little older brother from the orphanage.

But then the little brother unexpectedly became the boy next door. He was smart and outstanding, well-mannered and considerate, gentle and approachable: a role model for the rich kids and a wonderful fiancé adored by countless heiresses.

So Chen Xin never imagined that one day this older brother would stop being a good brother. In a hotel room, he would grip her chin, all warmth gone from his expression as he stared gloomily at the lips someone had just taken liberties with.

Everything was slipping out of control, and there was no need to hold back anymore.

Blurb Two

One day, Chen Xin got drunk for the first time and went limp in someone's arms.

In her haze, someone coaxed her, "Chen Xin, come here. Let me take you home, okay?"

Chen Xin glanced at the person holding her, then trustingly burrowed into his arms and whined, "No, I want Brother Jiahe to take me..."

Then she pressed against him again and slurred, "Brother Jiahe, you smell so nice."

Xiao Jiahe held her, looking every bit the gentlemanly big brother.

It was only after they got into the car, with the girl leaning on his shoulder and her red lips parting as she breathed out sweetly, that this good big brother gradually reached up and undid the last button at his collar, usually fastened neatly to his throat. He turned to look out the window, his Adam's apple shifting slightly.

A gentle, approachable man who is actually a scheming master at psychological warfare, playing the long game with a dark side × A soft, sweet, adorable heroine who is a little clueless about romance. Their backgrounds are unequal: she is a wealthy heiress from a top-tier family...

But that doesn't matter. The hero is the type who will use every means possible to get whatever catches his eye. A sweet, wish-fulfillment romance with a slow build.

Theme: Love.
