Raising Ghosts

A tribute to Ghost Stories Story background: Ten years ago, a man who appeared to be the ideal husband and father to outsiders brought home an illegitimate son. The family, once seemingly warm and harmonious, fell apart. The woman finally let down her guard and fought with the man. In a corner, a kind-hearted boy reached out to a withdrawn child. He said, “I'm your big brother. I'll protect you, little brother.” - Ten years later, the younger brother is dead, and Lin Xi is sent abroad. - Bottom's perspective: A strange phone call summons him home from abroad in a hurry. His mother dies mysteriously, and he sobs uncontrollably at her funeral. But everything is only just beginning... The truth hidden in a lost past has been waiting for his return all along... A hand reaches out once more, pulling him down into an abyss without light. - [The greatest distance in the world is the distance between life and death.] [We are strangers to each other, separated by life and death.] - [Content warnings] * Melodramatic plot * Ghost top, human bottom * Told through episodic flashbacks * Don't discuss morals with the author * Everyone else is cannon fodder, some graphic violence * The top is ruthless and extremely possessive * Younger top, pseudo-incest, no blood relation CP: Icy, obsessive younger brother top x gentle, beautiful older brother bottom Theme: The greatest distance in the world isn't the distance between life and death.
