Hurst Academy

Han Yinyin gave it everything she had and finally got into Hurst Academy, the top university in Huaxia.

Not to achieve anything earth-shattering, but simply to follow Fu Zixi, the person she had secretly loved for seven years.

Yet just one month after enrolling, she began noticing all kinds of strange things.

The karaoke king at the freshman party flatly refused an invitation to sing;

Her animal-loving roommate looked at the stray cats on the street with disgust;

A classmate who loved painting sold all their brand-new brushes and paper...

Why had they all abandoned the things they used to love?

Even more confusing and unsettling to Han Yinyin was that

she seemed to... no longer love Fu Zixi...

This premise came to me in a dream. The way I want to write it has no trendy elements at all, so I'm a little worried...

A long time ago, I discussed it with my friends until the middle of the night. They helped me add lots of trendy elements, and it seemed like the whole thing might work pretty well.

But after thinking it over, I felt that writing it that way wouldn't make it the story I wanted to write.

So either this premise will become an arc in another novel, or I'll write it as a short story for a collection. It's unlikely to become a standalone novel unless I make a major leap as a writer!

I won't be working on this for now. I'll leave it here.
