After wandering for hundreds, even thousands of years, Uguisumaru finally finds his father and settles into a happy life at the citadel, occasionally sparring with the Genji.
This is a gathering place for the Taira-Genji battlefield, and paradise for fans of the double-Uguisumaru ship.
PS1: I'm not very good at capturing the little ancestor's character, but I'll do my best.
PS2: I refuse to make Uguisumaru timid in front of Higekiri. After all, he's a kid raised by the little ancestor, and having his own family and sword school is surely better than staying hung up on Higekiri. It's not like he's the only one who's ever been cut down or sent away [not really]. Taira Uguisumaru was born a blade of the Taira and will die a ghost of the Taira.
PS3: Uguisumaru is the saniwa, but before the story begins, he follows the usual Hanamaru saniwa routine: no meeting people, no tending to swords, and no going out. As soon as the little ancestor arrives, he changes his habits.
PS4: The Uguisumaru in this story is based on the version by the wonderful Arsenic-Shuang on Bilibili. I've done my best to capture the original. Their Uguisumaru is so beautiful, and has a style all his own, not just Higekiri with dyed hair!
