Synopsis
Shi Wan transmigrates into a melodramatic romance novel, becoming the male lead's timid, insecure ex-girlfriend and a cannon-fodder character.
Her parents dote on her, but only so they can coax her into donating bone marrow to her older sister.
Her fiance is handsome, charming, and fabulously wealthy, but the person he truly loves is her frail, pitiful older sister. He even plans to have Shi Wan bear a child for her sister.
Shi Wan: "Not marrying and not having kids is the way to stay safe. You can all love each other as a family. I'm just the one you picked up along the way, so I'll leave you to your family affairs. Goodbye."
After Shi Wan leaves, the Shi family falls into chaos.
Her older sister sobs, "How can Wanwan be so cruel? I'm her sister! What's the harm in donating a little bone marrow to me?"
Her parents rage, "Shi Wan is such an ungrateful wretch. We raised her for nothing!"
Her ex-fiance suddenly sees the light and confesses to her with tender affection: "Wanwan, I'm sorry. I only just realized that you're the one I love..."
Just then, the mysterious business tycoon Ji Nanyuan, said to be worth a fortune beyond measure, walks out of Shi Wan's room and pulls her slender figure into his arms. He looks down at the man with disdain. "Confessing to your aunt right under my nose? Do you think I'm dead, just because I'm your uncle?"
