Kiss Me Once More

The not-so-serious blurb: After being reborn, Chi Wanwan plans to make a good life for herself, get back at her white-lotus stepsister and wicked stepmother, and study hard! Most important of all, she’ll treat the childhood friend who avenged her in her previous life well. Then she discovers that her childhood friend is a jealous little thing. When someone calls her sweetheart, she gets mad. When someone asks for her contact information, she turns them down. When someone confesses to her, she scowls furiously. Chi Wanwan thinks she’s so cute. The serious blurb: After being framed, abused, and murdered, Chi Wanwan feels her life has been a complete disaster. Her greatest regret as she dies is that she never got to see an old friend one last time. She never expects to open her eyes and find herself back in class at sixteen, with a beautiful girl sitting beside her, still young and innocent compared with how she’ll look in the future. Six years from now, that girl will arrive, weary from a long journey, at Chi Wanwan’s corpse. She’ll gather her bones and bury her, avenge her, and pursue her killer across a thousand miles. “Yu Zhuyao, kiss me one more time.” She still remembers the kiss that seemed to linger on her gravestone, like a snowflake melting away. Sixteen-year-old Yu Zhuyao instantly turns red. A little embarrassed but still fierce, she says, “I didn’t sneak a kiss while you were asleep!” If Chi Wanwan had to give family, friendship, and love a single face, it would be Yu Zhuyao’s. *Childhood friends, always devoted; a sweet, healing story. Theme: Face adversity with perseverance, and work together to build a better life
