After the stressful college entrance exams, a sky full of test papers drifts down like snowflakes.

A shy underclasswoman holds out a rose she made herself. "Senior, you're leaving this school. If I don't tell you now, I'll never get another chance."

"If you tell me now, you still won't have a chance."

Leng Jia raises an eyebrow. "You can't even compare to one of her fingers, so stop dreaming about stealing her man."

▲Story blurb:

Rong Pianpian is stunningly beautiful and loved by everyone. Her imperial uncle arranges her marriage to the most talented noble gentleman in all the Great Tang.

That night, Rong Pianpian dreams that she marries the noble gentleman, and that her imperial uncle dotes on her endlessly, granting her the title of First-Rank Lady. Her husband's rise in status makes him a high-ranking court official.

But before long, the emperor dies, and Rong Pianpian is confined to the back courtyard, where she watches her husband and cousin whisper sweet nothings to each other.

The blazing sun scorches her fair skin, and a blade hangs at her neck.

The executioner's blade falls, and she jolts awake in terror.

Looking at the noble gentleman who has been speaking sweetly to her, Rong Pianpian turns around and fishes a sickly young man out of the lotus pond.

The noblewomen who can't stand Rong Pianpian hope every day that she'll become a widow. But after waiting for years, they discover that she's only climbed higher and higher.

In the end, she sits upon the phoenix throne, gazing at them with an unreasonable expression.

[I just want to see you hate me but be powerless to do anything about it.]

"Your Highness, don't joke around!"
