A Reborn Female General's Guide to Becoming Empress

*This novel entered paid serialization on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Chapters 27-68 were moved behind the paywall.* [The xianxia danmei novel I'm a Duck Immortal is currently being serialized. Its blurb is below.] [Upcoming historical danmei palace novel: The Capital's Biggest Heartbreaker] Hao Xin was a great female general. Protecting her king was her lifelong wish. In her previous life, she died consumed by her passionate love for him. But fate played a cruel trick on her: she wasn't reborn as a child. Instead, she was reborn in the body of that heartless emperor! When the ministers brought her own dead body before her and asked her to issue an edict for a grand burial, she honestly wanted to refuse. When the harem consorts rushed to seduce her and get her to spend the night in their palaces, she was honestly terrified. When the ministers furiously argued their opposing views in court and begged her to decide, she was honestly bewildered. What she found hardest to accept was that the real emperor had been reborn in her body! They had swapped bodies! Her Majesty calmly told her to take his place at morning court. Or else he'd act cute, play the victim, and whine about his pain until she comforted him, all because he'd been injured and was bleeding. Hao Xin screamed inwardly: A general should be broad-minded! She couldn't hold it against His Majesty! She had to stay away from this demon emperor! What? He wants to marry her and make her empress?! That might be worth considering. Reader's guide: ① 1v1 happy ending, alternate world, mostly serious with a touch of silliness. ② The male lead's harem exists in name only. Both leads are each other's only partner. ③ Sweetness with some angst mixed in. Trust me, after the angst, it gets sweet! My long-form historical danmei xianxia novel, I'm a Duck Immortal, is being serialized on my profile. Please add it to your collection. Blurb: Chi Sheng is a duck spirit whose spiritual energy has run dry. His greatest wish in life is to find his benefactor and repay him. His second greatest wish is not to get eaten. After enrolling at a cultivation sect school, everyone treats him like a sacred beast. The disciples shower him with attention, the principal and teachers treat him with utmost respect, and even the cafeteria auntie gives him extra meat. While he's being adored by his fan club and paparazzi, the only one unmoved is the ice-cold vice principal. Even more frustrating, that person is his benefactor, so he starts throwing himself into the man's arms, hugging him, and staging fake accidents to get close. The sect disciples all get nosebleeds: "Oh my god, our precious ducky is pursuing his master! Mom, we're right here! Go, baby, go! Get him! I'm shipping this couple!" Once Chi Sheng fulfills his greatest wish, his smitten benefactor corners him somewhere and threatens to turn him into spicy duck head and pickled pepper duck feet. Lin Feixian: "If you're going to chase me, you have to be ready for what comes with it. I've already prepared the marinade." Chi Sheng: "Quack?" That's life for you. You can't expect every wish to come true and for everything to work out perfectly. ...Bullshit! He's made some progress in his cultivation. How can he still let people slaughter him at will? The helpless, hapless Chi Sheng mutters the sentence he'll regret for the rest of his life: "I-I'm the Duck Immortal. What can I do for you?" Theme: Those who love each other will end up together.
