[Zhou Yu/Xiao Qiao] A Fierce Tiger With Peach Blossoms in Its Jaws

Sun Ce always felt that the heavens loved playing tricks on him.

While alive, he killed Yu Ji and dispelled delusions, making him something of an anti-superstition crusader. Yet after he died, he was told he had to become a charlatan?

Someone told him that every demon he subdued would earn him a merit, and every merit could be exchanged for a peach blossom. Once a thousand blossoms had bloomed, the Heavenly Dao would grant him one wish.

He guarded Wang'an Temple for two hundred years, and the old tree that had come from Shu County finally bloomed with thousands of peach blossoms. The only problem was that he had yet to voice his wish.

He kept putting it off, until one night an east wind came and blew every last leaf from his tree.

Fortunately, the wish he had never said aloud had quietly come to stand by his side.

Free-spirited and unrestrained, he had kept peach blossoms in his heart for a hundred years.

With a heart that embraces all, he could still recognize the one he truly loved.

Sun Ce x Zhou Yu, possibly other pairings such as Sun Quan x Lu Xun, or perhaps none.

A semi-AU modern supernatural story about catching demons.
