Hero and Demon King
What is the hero's duty? To defeat the Demon King and save the world.
What is the Demon King's duty? To represent evil in the world and be killed by the hero.
Duty is destiny. It cannot be disobeyed or resisted.
Even if the Demon King has been unable to leave the Demon Palace ever since he was born,
every crime laid at his door is merely a falsehood imposed on him by the people.
For thousands of years, no one has ever realized this. Everyone thinks it is only natural.
Until one day, the hero is accidentally rescued by the Demon King.
The curse will finally be broken.
1. This is self-indulgent writing, so proceed with caution. Just have fun with it.
2. The Demon King is a little withdrawn, but he really is a good kid.
3. It's a traditional Western fantasy setting with a hero and a Demon King, just with a different ending.
4. Everyone is born with a "vocation," something they must do. It is not the same as combat ability or personal beliefs. (For example, a villager can be LV.999, but they still have to farm.) Fate means that something is sure to happen at a certain time. Defying one's vocation or fate brings "punishment."
