HP: Roselyn's Secret

In 1931, the gentle lie told by my mother, Viole Tabulstrode, stopped working.

In 1959, across the ocean, Roselin was born.

She inherited neither her father's surname nor her mother's. Neither side was willing to casually choose a surname for their child. As the farce of the Parapott Law spiraled out of control, her father, Marius, a Squib driven out of the Black family and the brother of Mrs. Dorea Black Potter, sent the child, who had only the name Roselin, to relatives on the other side of the ocean.
