Unquenchable Fire

The young man once tossed flowers from a high terrace and made grand pronouncements about the realm in court.

He was also exiled three thousand li overnight, and wandered ten thousand li across the land.

But the young man's ambition always burned in his chest, scorching hot like a flame that would never die.

The easiest thing to imagine is soaring to success one day; the most likely thing to face is destitution in a foreign land.

It's easy to say, "One day I'll rise to the top," but all too easy to end up impoverished far from home.

But for Tang Zongzhi...

Neither his distant land nor his future success was a pretense.

Tang Zongzhi and Xie Anfeng were close friends. Their poetry exchange at a tavern became a celebrated tale.

But that tale ended when Tang Zongzhi was stripped of his official position for political reasons.

Everyone thought Tang Zongzhi would never return, and mourned the loss of a dashing young man from the world.

Xie Anfeng thought so too.

But when he went to patrol the southeastern coast and ran into Tang Zongzhi, he realized something seemed off...

This guy was still just as debauched!

The gong appears first, but this isn't a story where he's the main gong.

The era is inspired by the Ming dynasty.

A rebellious son of a military family who goes off to take the imperial exams, yet is a brilliant military strategist, proud, petty, and a troublesome gong x a talented, warm, and scheming shou from a poor family, who came third in the palace examination, has seen the world, and never strays from his original ideals

The next book, Don't Be Sour Fish, is a cultivation story. A possessive genius gong who never gives up and has a dark side x a sweet, goofy, hardworking young master who can bend without breaking and strives to cultivate

Theme: The spirit of youth knows no bounds
