There's No Escape

Meng Dong and Dou Yang became sworn brothers, bound to share life and death. After the two raised an army in rebellion, Meng Dong had no choice but to leave because his homeland was in peril. Ten years later, Dou Yang unified the Central Plains, and Meng Dong went to the capital as a hostage for the sake of his homeland. Later, they both grew old and turned to dust in the pages of history. After Dou Yang died, Meng Dong was sentenced to death. In the blink of an eye, however, he had returned to his youth, only to discover that this world was similar to, yet different from, the one he had known. Can he make up for the regrets of the past and reconcile with Dou Yang? He tries his best, but even he cannot predict how things will turn out in the end. Still set in an ABO universe. A short story. This idea came to me in a dream during yesterday's nap, and I'm writing it for fun. Expected to be completed within tens of thousands of words. Not entering VIP.
