The Fraud Detective's Alibi

The Special Abilities Task Force is tracking a con artist whose identity is unknown, and they don't even know whether he has any special abilities. He has a peculiar fascination with fear, constantly putting himself in dangerous situations, yet always managing to escape unharmed. Ask the people around him, and they'll say he's a student, a doctor, a detective, or a novelist. People suspect he's closely connected to certain supernatural events and crime scenes, but just like the aliases he uses, he always has an alibi. Then he meets the young detective from Beika Town and the great detective from the Armed Detective Agency, and it seems his good days are over. "We've known each other this long. Aren't you going to give us a sincere introduction? Are you the mastermind, or are you connected to one?" "Uh, that's a misunderstanding. My name is Fusho Yoake, and I'm just a novelist who always submits my manuscripts at the last possible minute." "You're trying to fool us again!" Yusaku: "He did win a newcomer award." Everyone else: "???" [The character is from the game The Mysterious Village of the Wolf. Let me tell you all about it!] [The theme is the protagonist's principles and innermost thoughts.] [Cover image used with permission.] Theme: Using other people's happiness as a stepping stone to your own happiness is what it means to be an adult.
