Becoming a Star Eighteen Years Later

Eighteen years ago, the hugely popular singer Cheng Yi was stabbed to death at home. When he woke up again, he found himself at a boy band audition.

At his first performance, long hair fell over his face. Too timid and nervous to speak, he fainted right there onstage.

Audience: "Do people really let Sadako audition these days? If you have no talent, you should just withdraw."

When he appeared again, someone else had taken over his body. His hair was half tied up in a high ponytail, and every move he made was dazzling. After one song, the entire venue fell silent.

Audience: "Help, I'm on my knees before this legend!"

After he was accused of plagiarizing the late Cheng Yi at his first performance, Cheng Yi's former fans, now influential figures in every field, all declared that they would drive him off the show and out of the entertainment industry.

His old friends had grown into frail old men. Once the truth came out, it sparked another heated debate.

"He sings so well. Could he be Mr. Cheng Yi reincarnated?"

"Just tell me what opportunities you want. When Mr. Cheng Yi was alive, I didn't have the means to help him. Now you can pick whatever you want."

He fought his way up from Class F, and someone claimed he was being kept by a wealthy patron.

But before the rumor could spread, it was firmly stamped out.

"I insist on promoting him. What does that have to do with him?"

"Keep him? I wouldn't dare. I'm afraid the other big shots would break my legs!"
