Long, drawn-out tension, relentless push and pull, bickering lovers: cocky, obsessive werewolf x sickly, money-loving seer
Werewolves really do exist in this world. Clerics who have seen them all say they're handsome, but they also agree that they're absolutely awful.
Liu Li first met Yi Ming in high school. He was a famous campus heartthrob, wildly popular and constantly cycling through girlfriends. She was a frail, sickly nobody who often missed school.
When she met Yi Ming again, she was working night shifts to make money, and he was a werewolf beaten to a pulp by his own companions.
Liu Li was followed one night recently. After she called the police, she discovered that her pursuer was Yi Ming.
Softhearted, Liu Li took him in for a while after confirming he would pay her for his keep. "Come home with me."
After leaving the police station and returning home, Yi Ming revealed his true form. He spent his days popping out his ears, wagging his tail, and wrecking the place. Apart from his handsome human face, he had none of the charm Liu Li had once secretly loved.
Remembering how dashing he'd been in high school, Liu Li vowed to cherish her life and stay away from playboys. Even though they were "living together" now, she insisted she would never fall for him.
Liu Li kept saying, "I'm a seer. How could I possibly like a werewolf?"
Yi Ming smirked. "I'm one too. Do I need you to remind me?"
Liu Li stuck to her principles, going to work and earning money. Though she had a man at home who could carry heavy things, she did everything herself and never crossed a line. Yi Ming, on the other hand, realized he had no reason to keep staying at her place, but didn't want to leave.
He seemed to have completely changed, always clinging to her.
Yi Ming: "I'm downstairs at your office. Let's go home together."
Liu Li: "I'm having dinner with friends tonight. Eat by yourself."
Yi Ming cooked at home and even tidied up her messy things, waiting for praise. "Look!"
Liu Li snapped, "Who told you to clean up after me? Now I don't know where anything is!"
The wolf tucked away his once-happily wagging tail.
He switched into active-apology mode. At their high school reunion, when their old classmates asked how they'd been doing since graduation, Yi Ming looked at Liu Li and said, "Terribly. Liu Li's keeping me now."
The class beauty who'd once admired him refused to give up. "What exactly is your relationship with Liu Li?"
Yi Ming replied with astonishing bluntness: "She's my master."

Liu Li was focused on making money and had been staying out late often. After Yi Ming recovered from his injuries, it was time for him to leave. He couldn't bear to go, and though he still had a mission from the demon to fulfill, he hoped he could say a proper goodbye at her home.
But he ran into hunters along the way. To escape them, Liu Li took him to another world.
Yi Ming roared, "You're a seer! Why are you running away?"
Liu Li shot back, "You still haven't paid me for taking care of you."
In truth, Yi Ming heard what Liu Li was really thinking: I'm worried about you, so I came after you! Idiot!
Yi Ming, usually so cocky, blushed. His tail wagged uncontrollably.
"Has anyone ever said werewolves and seers can't be together?"
Yi Ming gradually forgot his mission, his identity, and the gulf between them. He dropped the sneaky flirtation and tentative advances and began an all-out pursuit of his wife, never expecting Liu Li to be the legendary top-tier seer...
Yi Ming: "My wife is amazing!"
P.S.:
1. The male lead flirts with other women early on, but he has ulterior motives each time because he's very career-driven.
2. If it's not your thing, please don't bash it. Just stop reading quietly.
3. Neither the characterization nor the writing is perfect, so please don't overanalyze it.
