Beneath the silver moon, a small bamboo raft quietly parts the surface of the lake. The fox gazes up at the sky, a little drunk, and trails delicate fingers through the water.
"Come, little fish, have another drink with me. Once I've cultivated a human form, I'll take a small boat and a jug of wine and drift wherever the current takes me!"
Lin Qing: "What a fine plan, to drift wherever the current takes you! When that day comes, could you save me a straw mat, a wine cup, and a set of bowls and chopsticks?"
The fox smiles and asks, "I have wine. What do you have?"
Lin Qing: "I have... braised chicken butts."
The fox: "Hahaha... Why haven't you gone off to become the greatest under heaven? Why do you still remember me after all this time?"
Lin Qing: "Without you, I don't want to go anywhere in this world. For the rest of my life, I only want to drift wherever the current takes us with you..."
