I Ran After Flirting, and Got Taught a Lesson

The first time Chu Yuqing saw Zhi Sheng, she thought she was nothing like a twenty-first-century college student.

Conservative, well-behaved, sensible, quiet. She was almost unbearably dull.

Feeling mischievous, Chu Yuqing started clinging to Zhi Sheng like a plaster, flirting with her in every way she could and stirring up a whole lot of romantic tension.

After all that flirting, she found herself getting a little interested too. Then she got the chance to study abroad, so she broke things off without a second thought and left the country.

She pulled out without hesitation before she could fall, passing through a garden of flowers without a petal clinging to her.

After returning home, she easily landed a job at a well-known company on the strength of her abilities, and settled into a comfortable, happy life.

That is, until the CEO paid a surprise visit to see how things were going on the ground. Chu Yuqing looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar cool woman standing before her. The dark, inscrutable emotions in her eyes were enough to make anyone tremble.

Chu Yuqing swallowed and wondered if she could make a run for it.

"Didn't you say I was slow and dense, like a complete blockhead? What about now? Do you like me?" Zhi Sheng asked with a gentle smile, finding all sorts of ways to torment Chu Yuqing.

Chu Yuqing turned sweet and soft as a kitten, meekly begging for mercy. "I like you. I like you best..."
