Tang Zhenxin had no idea how she had gone from helping a victim by chasing off an ugly creature that was bullying a ghost to becoming a ghost hunter at the Underworld's office in the mortal realm. Her job was to persuade wandering spirits to return to the Underworld.
Considering her mountain of debt, Tang Zhenxin thought being a civil servant in the Underworld sounded pretty good.
But life as a person was hard, and dealing with ghosts was hard too. The people in the Underworld had even set up a rule that you could only withdraw your earnings after reaching the full quota. Tang Zhenxin immediately felt she'd been scammed.
Unfortunately, once you're on a pirate ship, you have to sail with the pirates...
Just as she finally got promoted to a specially appointed ghost hunter for the Underworld, Tang Zhenxin encountered an old ghost who wept and refused to go with her. Tang Zhenxin rubbed her forehead helplessly.
Just then, a deep, pleasant voice spoke.
"Hello, I'm your partner, Chi Shiyi."
Together, the two Chi's are invincible.
Just as Tang Zhenxin was basking in her soaring work performance, she discovered that she was the reincarnation of a demon, and that one of the two hearts inside her belonged to Chi Shiyi...
