Time passed, and the setting sun grew warm. In my dreams, you promised that once the clouds had passed, I could follow you to the ends of the earth. We have shared this life. I’d rather sleep longing for you than suffer from longing for you. Don’t ask why my brows are furrowed. Don’t ask why I smile. Look, the mountain flowers are waiting to bloom. I smile, knowing I’ll finally wait for you, and we’ll enter another cycle together. But when the flowers wither in lonely silence, my brows furrow. You let their finest years pass you by. I can only watch the years fly past. Like a dream, like a dream, Yet this was a journey of love. In the play, you combed my hair and painted my brows. In my dreams, our fingers intertwined as we spent our lives together. Half drunk, half awake, I saw your face, Smiling as always, like a spring breeze. Your cool fingertips brushed my brow. Most beautiful of all was that fireworks display, blossoming like flowers. After they faded in silence, only a lonely wisp drifted into the clouds.
