The Regent Is My Working Minister

Chu Qingxuan transmigrates into the body of a disposable emperor who disguises herself as a man. After calculating the date of her death, she decides to treat herself a little better during the time she has left. Eat what she likes, play as she pleases, and experience the customs of ancient times. Instead, she unexpectedly runs into the scheming regent being hunted down. The regent is exceptionally handsome, and in his youth he was one of the most celebrated beauties in the capital. Chu Qingxuan has a moment of face-addiction and saves this great villain from the book. After spending some time together, the regent notices that she looks like the emperor and concludes that she must be the emperor's seventh princess, who was lost among the common people years ago. He decides to remove the person currently on the throne and make her empress. Since the great villain wants to work for her, Chu Qingxuan certainly won't refuse. So she takes on two jobs: as a man, she's an incompetent emperor; as a woman, she's a frail seventh princess. Chu Qingxuan happily settles into a lazy life. To encourage the regent to keep working diligently on government affairs, she sends him gifts every few days when she's playing the seventh princess. With words, she showers him with praise, concern, and admiration. With treats, she splits her cake, milk tea, and biscuits with him. As long as her acting is good, she'll have all the wealth and glory she could want. Get found out? That's impossible. The hard-working regent is absolutely not going to overstep his bounds. A cross-dressing, lazy puppet empress x a ruthless, hard-working regent Content warnings: They're each other's first love. The political scheming is at an elementary-school level. The focus is on romance, the setting is very loosely grounded, so don't overanalyze it. A sweet romance. Theme: Love yourself, and the world will love you too.
