After being blacklisted by her company's executives for six months, third-rate actress Yu Xia receives a job offer.

Her job is to play the wife of Qin Kezhou, president of the Qin Group, and help him get rid of his childhood sweetheart, who has been in love with him and constantly pestering him.

Yu Xia never does anything heartless. "It doesn't seem right to toy with a young woman's feelings."

Qin Kezhou: "One hundred million in pay, after taxes."

Yu Xia slams the table and jumps to her feet. "Let's sign the contract right now. I'll make sure she's completely heartbroken."

Yu Xia: "By the way, President Qin, what kind of wife do you want? Sweet girl-next-door, tsundere, mature beauty, queen, bubbly... Take your pick. I'll make sure you're satisfied."

Qin Kezhou: "..."

Unfortunately, President Qin's acting is so bad that his childhood sweetheart doesn't believe they truly love each other. Left with no choice, Yu Xia comes up with a terrible idea.

A month after their flash marriage, Yu Xia falls from a wire during filming, and Qin Kezhou visits her in the hospital.

The doctor says Yu Xia hit her head and has memory loss.

Yu Xia reaches out a pale hand, tugs at Qin Kezhou's sleeve, and coos softly, "Hubby, what took you so long?"

Qin Kezhou's heart flutters. Unable to refuse her, he gently kisses her between the brows. "I'm sorry I took so long, honey."

-

Later, their relationship is unexpectedly exposed, and they appear on a couples' interview show.

Qin Kezhou recounts their romance in detail, from meeting as children and getting to know each other in middle school to falling in love as adults, realizing their feelings were mutual, promising themselves to each other, and finally walking down the aisle. Their story moves countless viewers.

Yu Xia: ...

Yu Xia: If I hadn't lost my memory, I might have believed you. You look so serious, but you're a better actor than me!

-

Only later does Yu Xia learn that someone really had been secretly in love with her for eighteen years.

-

Yu Xia: ...

Yu Xia: !!!!!!!!

Yu Xia: Damn it, why did I go to all that trouble pretending to have amnesia?!
