When a god who was once hopelessly love-struck is hurt and transformed, even she can become a charlatan.
Gu Chi was originally a proper god who strictly followed divine rules. Later... she evolved into a charlatan, traveling throughout the universe, appearing on rooftops, by bedsides, and in dreams... all to find the miracle that would bring her beloved back.
Along the way, she learns new things, trains herself, and helps others get back on their feet by giving them buffs, so they can live life on their own terms. In the end, she gets what she wants, too.
In a word, it's about breaking free from an unfair fate and turning hurt and resentment into wings to soar freely. (Simply put, it's a satisfying revenge story about punishing scumbags.)
Inspiration and original purpose: Whenever I read frustrating plotlines or see them in real life, I want to give the protagonist a few buffs so she can focus on taking people down without holding back. Reality is harsh, after all, so let fiction be a little more fulfilling.
Main plot: Female lead: Gu Chi; male lead: Ming Shu
Side stories: Short stories set in different worlds
First story: The abandoned daughter of a powerful family returns.
Second story: The daughter of a family that favors boys awakens.
Second story: The childhood friend and carefree empress fakes her death and escapes.
Third story: The first wife who weathered hardships with her newly wealthy husband stands up for herself.
Fourth story: The kept woman goes mad.
Fifth story: The devoted junior sister becomes heartless.
In short, it's a satisfying story about punishing scumbags. (Whenever I read stories where the scumbags are forgiven and the broken couple gets back together, it makes me unhappy, so I'm writing my own story where they don't reconcile.)
Coming soon: The Road I Traveled with a Puppet
At the happiest moment of her life, the switch of despair is flipped, enough to drive a kind person mad.
On the day Su Yang, a heaven-blessed young woman who has made it her mission to punish evil and promote good, is to marry her lover, she is betrayed by her family. Her lover is reduced to ashes in a sea of flames, leaving behind only a section of a finger bone and a wisp of a ghost.
From then on, there is no heaven-blessed young woman in the world, only a madwoman in red, carrying a puppet and given to unpredictable moods, wandering the world tirelessly and leaving no trace.
Years later, a book titled The Road She Traveled with a Puppet becomes a sensation across countless realms, moving countless lovesick men and women to tears. But their story is only just beginning.
Theme: The heavens always settle the score. Who can escape their reckoning?
