The Bright Moon Over the Eastern Tower

[New serial, "Peerless Under Heaven," now available on my page!]

When she was young, she ran through the fog, thinking she had a place in someone's heart.

Picking apart every thread led to a beautiful dream.

It turned out she was standing on the edge of a cliff, with ruin beneath her feet and ruin behind her.

Wang Xi gets into a car accident, and Huo Qi rushes to the hospital. Seeing her radiant smile, he is met with a bewildered gaze. "Sir, who are you?"

Huo Qi stiffens, then calls out her terrible acting. "You're not a good actress. You should know that."

Wang Xi smiles and nods. "All right, let's cut to the chase. Let's break up."

Huo Qi stares straight at her.

The rain outside the window is just like that bewildering, passionate summer years ago.

If it starts wrong, it's wrong.

- Letting loose, old-school melodrama. Readers who want chaste romance or are devoted to the heroine, proceed with caution.

The first time Liang Ting met Shao Yuqing, her cousin introduced them.

"Chongchong, look at that group of people. Every one of them is a big shot in business, especially the one in the middle. I hear you shouldn't mess with him."

That day, Shao Yuqing stood in the middle wearing a gray trench coat. His gold-rimmed glasses made him look even more handsome. He chatted over drinks with others, smiling with polished elegance and an air of noble refinement. He didn't look threatening at all.

Liang Ting didn't believe it, and went out of her way to provoke him. Later, she thought, I can handle him just fine.

Later still, she dumped him without batting an eye.

She never expected to see Shao Yuqing again. He was as refined and elegant as ever, but there seemed to be a touch of madness to him now. Without a word, he insisted on taking her away.

"Chongchong, long time no see. Have you kept the heart you stole from me safe?" He spoke in the gentlest voice as he quietly clicked the lock shut, then tossed the key out the car window.

"If you manage to leave me again, I'll spell my name backward." He adjusted his glasses lightly.

Only then did Liang Ting realize: what gentle refinement? He was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Little scene:

Liang Ting: "Shao Yuqing! Unlock it!"

Shao Yuqing just smiled gently. "Wrong name. Try again."

Liang Ting: "Uncle Shao, could you unlock it, please?"

Shao Yuqing: "Still wrong."

Liang Ting: "Brother Yuqing?"

"Wrong."

"...Honey."

"Good girl. We'll get our marriage license tomorrow."
