This Wacky System Is So Unreliable

This is a short story, and it won’t be abandoned, so read without worry~ Here’s the blurb:

Ji Xia really likes his childhood friend Zhong Hao. He gave up everything for him, including his other childhood friend, Bi Boxue.

But Bi Boxue lost his life saving him.

After returning to five years earlier, Ji Xia is inexplicably bound to a wildly unreliable “Meow Meow” System. To keep Bi Boxue from suffering the same car accident as in his previous life, he has no choice but to follow the System’s instructions and make Bi Boxue do one bizarre task after another with him.

But... why is he so envious of the female classmate who confessed to Bi Boxue on a dark and windy night, ahem, under the enchanting moonlight, when they’re only childhood friends?

And what the heck is the System task “kiss, hug, and lift him up high” supposed to mean?

[Little scene]

Bi Boxue: “Are you sure you want me to wear this floral padded jacket?”

Ji Xia: “Bro, put it on. It looks so good on you!”

But inside: “I’m rolling my eyes at the System. The world has nothing to do with me...”
