Winning the Jungler's Heart

Anime girl Lingling X alluring-voiced game streamer Shen Yu

A sweet little short story

I.

Lingling was so happy she could die.

This jungler was unbelievably, unbelievably strong!

So it was fine. As Diao Chan, she could even abandon her last-resort right to the blue buff. She'd give it all to him!

II.

Shen Yu wasn't livestreaming today. He just happened to want to log into Xiao Hao. As soon as he came online, a girl he'd played with last time invited him to a game, so he thought he'd carry her for a couple of rounds.

Since someone else took mid, Lingling had to pick Yao.

"Hehe, want a little charm to follow you around? You won't hate me, will you?"

Her voice was sweet and soft, very pleasant to listen to.

"No. Just follow me."

Ahhh, her girlish heart was about to explode!

Lingling clutched her phone, rolled around on the bed a few times, then buried herself under the covers and giggled quietly, afraid he'd hear her.

III.

He smiled too. Just as Lingling had imagined, he was handsome. Then, in a gentle, unhurried voice, he said, "Shen Yu."

The familiar voice, the familiar name. Lingling's hand, poised to sign her name, froze.

"C-could you say that again...?"

Shen Yu's smile grew wider. His voice remained as unhurried as before. "Shen Yu. Yu, as in 'therefore.'"

[--I'm claiming your jungler's heart. Did you mean what you said?

--I did!]

This story was inspired by the everyday games I play with my best friend.

This story is a birthday gift for her.
