I Want to Change Guardians Again Today

[Complete, with occasional revisions] Another mission. Four-year-old Nioh watches with a gloomy look as his two guardians walk toward the car, laughing together and completely forgetting he exists. Once again, he wonders if he might have been picked up off the street. Oh, never mind. He actually was picked up off the street. Watching the car disappear into the distance, little Nioh sighs. Who knows when those two idiots will remember him? Hmm, he should buy something to fill his stomach first. * The first time Yukimura met Nioh was when he was four. He was following his mother to the supermarket when they came across a kid his age who seemed to be alone. A tiny little toddler, barely three heads tall, walked by himself down the narrow aisles between the snack shelves, wheezing as he pushed a little basket and plucked snacks from the shelves to toss inside. The second time he saw Nioh was after his mother had picked out the groceries and gone to pay. The white-haired toddler he’d seen earlier had been lifted onto the counter, with a basket of snacks beside him. “Little boy, where are your parents?” “Those two idiots don’t matter. Just ring these up for me first. I still need to find a hotel to stay at.” “Don’t mess around, little boy. It’s dangerous for a child as young as you to be out alone. When the police officer gets here, you have to tell him about your parents, okay?” “There’s no need to make such a fuss, is there? What danger could I be in? If the person who kidnapped me doesn’t ask me to pay his medical bills, Jie will be thanking his lucky stars.” * Yukimura: “Back then, I thought you were exaggerating when you told that young lady that your kidnapper would make you pay his medical bills. Turns out I underestimated you.” Nioh: “You’re too kind. If I hadn’t been worried about scaring her into tears, I would’ve said I’d help find a place to bury the kidnapper.” * A sweet childhood-friends story about Yuki and Nioh. Rikkai wins three consecutive championships. The guardian is Jie. The story also has Gojo and Geto as a secondary couple! I’ll probably update daily once it starts, though sometimes I may disappear. So if there’s no update at midnight, don’t wait up. I’ve missed the update. No need to tell me if you drop the story. Theme: Wherever you are is the direction I’ll go.
