Saving the Brooding School Hunk After Being Reborn

In their first year of high school, her father brought home a boy from a friend's house.

Her father said he was obedient and considerate, and would make a good big brother.

It was a rainy night. When Lu Xinghe was brought home, his clothes were ragged, and the sneakers on his feet had been washed until they were faded white.

Tang Li puffed out her cheeks. She didn't like the gloomy aura around the boy.

Nobody at school liked him.

Later, an accident cut short Lu Xinghe's life.

As Tang Li sorted through his belongings, she held his diary to her chest, tears glistening in her eyes.

Because hidden inside was a faded candy wrapper, and every line of the diary overflowed with his love for her.

Only then did she realize that he had loved her with all his heart and had long since fallen for her.

Later, Tang Li was reborn, back on the day they first met.

When she saw Lu Xinghe again, she was overcome with joy and tears.

She rushed forward and hugged him tightly, choking out, "I missed you so much."

Lu Xinghe stiffened, his eyes briefly dazed.

He lowered his head and hurriedly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, his voice hoarse. "Why are you crying?"

His heart was breaking.
