[Dream of the Red Chamber] Daiyu as Prime Minister

[Currently being drafted. I'll post it when it's finished. It will take a while.]

When her father falls gravely ill, Daiyu returns to Yangzhou to visit him. As Lin Ruhai lies on his deathbed, Daiyu is suddenly told that she has gained a fiance.

Her betrothed, Hua Yun, is cold-hearted and aloof, like a blade that has yet to be sharpened. Daiyu never dares to get too close to him.

Fortunately, her future mother-in-law, the Grand Princess of Zhenguo, is gentle and kind, and her future father-in-law, Duke of Weiguo Hua Jing, enjoys the emperor's deep trust.

Most important of all is her future sister-in-law, Commandery Princess Yongjia, Hua Xinyi.

Daiyu discovers that this older sister wants to ascend the throne and wants Daiyu to join her!

Daiyu can't help being tempted...

So much injustice in this world, so many women born to suffer.

I would petition on behalf of women and sweep away all the world's injustice!

Hua Xinyi: "There are countless women in this world, and so many are suffering. Will you help me, Yu'er?"

Daiyu: "I would gladly follow Lady Shangguan's example and become a chancellor among women."

Hua Yun had thought his little girl would need his attentive care and protection. He never expected that, in the blink of an eye, she would be able to protect him instead.

Reader's guide:

1. Slow burn at first, one-on-one romance, happy ending.

2. No one is intentionally portrayed negatively.

3. Set in an imaginary world. Feel free to discuss with evidence.

4. The poetry is just for fun. Hehe.
