"I keep a promise that lasts forever, but I can't even hope for the smallest kindness from you."
No one could explain what had happened. When people awoke from their sleep, countless black domes had suddenly appeared, covering cities and dividing the Earth into countless small regions.
When they looked up at the sky, they saw that the sun had vanished, replaced by a tiny figure.
"Welcome to the Little King's Kingdom Game!"
"Want to leave the little kingdom you're in and travel to a neighboring one? Find the treasure and the right path, and you'll get a special pass!"
The Little King, who had suddenly appeared in the sky, looked down at the bewildered humans and arrogantly announced the rules of his game.
"If anyone offers me the treasure I want most, humanity can end the game and receive the ultimate clearance reward: life."
Man-eating giant insects fill the skies. Cunning hybrid animals possess intelligence, and telephone poles leap about at will. Every black dome contains a little kingdom with an utterly hostile environment.
To survive, humanity begins to struggle, resist, and even evolve, transforming along the way.
Luo Yi and Shi Jicheng seem to have nothing to do with each other. They meet because of the game, but deceive each other because of their past.
With every struggle to survive, the truth gradually becomes clear.
"You hate me, and I love you. Now we're even."
No one knows what treasure the Little King wants most. When will life return to Earth?
