Nothing is perfect. The world isn’t perfect, and that’s what makes it beautiful.

The concept of the “world” exists as something objective. Whether it’s good or bad, or whether it should be one way or another, isn’t something any one person can decide.

If the world were different, would the people who died still have died?

If the world were different, would the unfortunate become lucky?

Who can say for sure?

So, if we want to change the world simply because we don’t like the way it is now, will the result really be what we imagine?

So there’s no way to judge whether this world is better or that one is.

Instead of relying on something unknowable, shouldn’t we stand firmly in the present we can hold onto and build the future we want?

This world isn’t beautiful. But it’s still worth striving for.

That is the one truth that never changes.

This is a story that goes from a Prince of Tennis story in disguise, to a crossover in disguise, to an original story in disguise, to plagiarism in disguise, to wish fulfillment in disguise, to a good-for-nothing story. That’s all.

The main focus is Rikkai, background characters, and Hyotei. Seigaku are just passersby...

Read this before you start. A guide to the story:

No. 1----X Rule This is a transmigration story with a nerdy, snarky tone, so people who don’t enjoy snark may find it long-winded and X out; people who don’t enjoy nerdy characters may find it slow to get going and X out; people who don’t enjoy original transmigrated female leads may find it &%￥#* and X out. So consider yourself warned, and think twice before reading.

No. 2----Y Rule There’s a lot of parody, including classic works and movies from China and abroad, as well as all sorts of obscure, niche trivia. But it’s all tucked away in tiny details, so if you find the story irrelevant, slow, long-winded, or hard to understand, feel free to leave at any time.

No. 3----Z Rule This story was originally meant to focus on the supporting cast. But the author realized she wasn’t up to the task, so only a limited number of the princes could be properly developed. And because there are so many original characters, the plot won’t follow the Prince of Tennis storyline at all. Loving the princes alone isn’t enough to enjoy this story. You’ll also need to love the original characters, the supporting cast, and the background characters.

Finally:

Tip 1----If you want to get straight to the original storyline, you can skip to Volume 3. The earlier chapters are just the good-for-nothing heroine’s coming-of-age story. If you’re willing to miss the side stories about her encounters with a few of the princes as children, feel free to skip them. This won’t have much impact on the plot, but it will affect your understanding of the story.

Tip 2----If you can’t believe you clicked on this story, and you’re desperate for something to read with no fluffy stories around, you can skip straight to the bonus chapters. I personally think they work as entertainment and can be understood without reading the main story, so they might offer a little comfort to anyone who’s deeply disappointed by this one.

Of course, if even following the advice above leaves you feeling horrified, twitchy, drenched in sweat, blinded, or utterly outraged, please turn right, walk five steps, and use a specialized healing wall to make your escape. If you really can’t take it anymore and want to pick a fight, curse me out, or attack my worldview for the reasons above, please take a ticket and queue up. Thank you.
