What to Do When You Dream of Monsters

[Blurb One]

One day, Jian Miao saw someone on Xihu ask: "What should you do if you dream about a monster?"

She pursed her lips and tapped away at the keyboard.

"Thanks for the invite. I'm involved, so I'll stay anonymous. What I want to tell you is that monsters are scary. It's okay to be a coward when you need to be one. Fighting a monster isn't a wise choice. Maybe a cup of milk tea could make you friends?"

Her answer was promptly buried in downvotes: "Don't make us laugh. This is terrible advice! You have to stand up to the monster and beat it in your dreams to conquer yourself!"

Jian Miao felt wronged. She thought offering the monster milk tea was already pushing her limits.

[Blurb Two]

Since high school, Jian Miao's dreams had been a wasteland where countless bizarre monsters fought. She was one of them.

All her grievances, anger, sorrow, and unwillingness spilled out in her dreams. The more detached she acted in the real world, the more ferocious she became in her dreams.

Until one day, a young man in a black trench coat appeared in her dream. His spotless leather shoes rested on her enormous head, covered in scratches and bite marks. Smiling, he greeted her: "Hello there, so wild at heart... sir? Madam?"

Jian Miao: "...Roar! Get off me!"

[Poetic Blurb]

I would brave every thorn and defy the whole world, to grant you a beautiful dream in the eternal darkness.
