Yongde High School had vast groves of apricot trees on campus. March and April were the most beautiful months of the year, when the apricot blossoms burst into bloom across the school grounds. Legend had it that there was a story behind all those blossoms, but no one knew what it was.
Lin Yishi was known as the talented girl of Yongde High School. Gifted and incredibly cute, she was adored by many. But she was playful by nature, loved skipping class, and enjoyed painting.
Li Minghai was a gentle, kind, handsome young teacher who was devoted to Lin Yishi. He told her that life wasn’t meant to be spent playing around. Zhang Yanxiu was called the most beautiful girl at Yongde High School. She was stunning, and countless people admired her, but she was always at odds with Lin Yishi. She loved Li Minghai, and her love for him was so intense that she didn’t care if she hurt another girl.
Zhou Xiaotao was six foot one, ordinary-looking, and exceptionally intelligent. He had a lovely singing voice and played the piano beautifully. He loved apricot blossoms, and he was the only one at Yongde High School who knew their story. He said he would tell it to the girl he loved.
