The protagonist was born in the wilderness. To the powerful, he is a "savage." They bully and oppress him without restraint, capture him and keep him at their feet, forcing him to become a slave with even less status than an ordinary person.
They think his silence means he's submitting, but they don't know that an ancient beast is hidden inside him.
One day, he will break free from the cage that confines him.
