The Manager Hasn't Gone Home Today, Either

Before going to war, every Sentinel in the Alliance had to sign a document asking: if you lost your Guide, would you choose to live or to be euthanized?

Most people chose euthanasia, because the pain of losing a Guide was like having your soul torn apart, something almost no one could endure. Only a very few said they wanted to live, and Yan Ge was one of them.

Sentinels who lose their Guides are highly destructive, bad-tempered, and difficult to control. For the safety of the public, they are usually sent to desolate places, where they eke out a living on a monthly allowance until they die.

One day, someone who claimed to study psychological healing for Sentinels came to see him, signed the necessary paperwork with the government, and took Yan Ge home.

Can a torn soul really be mended, and can it find a place to belong again?
