You Are Not Allowed to Secretly Like Me

[This story has some shortcomings. We recommend subscribing chapter by chapter rather than buying the whole thing at once.] 1. Bai Tang thought her older brother, Bai Mo, had been acting strangely lately. When he came to pick her up after school, his eyes kept wandering toward her best friend, Song Zhen'er. At home, he would casually fish for information about Song Zhen'er. Bai Tang had even seen the money transfers her brother had sent Song Zhen'er. Bai Tang: I think my brother is up to no good with my best friend. She went to confront her brother, Bai Mo, with a knife and warned him to keep his hands off her friend. But Bai Mo just gave her a look that said, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I possibly like her?" Years later, Bai Tang went to visit her best friend, Song Zhen'er. The person who opened the door was her own older brother, a face she knew better than anyone. Bai Tang: ???? Bai Tang: You two!!!!! 2. Bai Mo thought his younger sister's best friend was a fascinating little thing. She had clearly gotten close to his sister for money, yet acted as if she wasn't friends with her for the money. She clearly liked him, yet insisted on pretending, "I don't like you. I really wasn't sneaking looks at you." Bai Mo (grinning): If you like me, just say so. It's not like I don't like you. Song Zhen'er: … What on earth are you talking about?
