The Dark Night Reading System

"Ah, why do people never have the courage to end their own lives? Why keep living in such pain and humiliation?" Fan Bailing asked herself countless times. But then, all of a sudden, she unlocked a reading System. Reading books every day earned her points, and she could save up coins to exchange for food and daily necessities. At the same time, the Personal Bankruptcy Law was officially enacted, giving Fan Bailing hope of escaping the troubles she faced in this world. But just after she filed for personal bankruptcy, thinking that after a few years of hard work she could finally live a normal life, the orbital balance within the solar system was disrupted. The earth plunged into darkness, and a long night began. Earth's periods of rotation and revolution both grew longer, drastically changing how time was measured. By candlelight, Fan Bailing opened the System. With this endless night, all she could do was read.
