Novel Blurb
[Blurb One]
The Zhou royal princess, named Huan, was a peerless beauty, radiant and graceful.
After losing a battle, she was forced to marry into the state of Ying to appease its lords.
[Blurb Two]
Ying's Crown Prince Yu could wield a blade and ride into battle, yet also govern the state and bring peace to the land. A force to be reckoned with, he was unstoppable.
Who could have guessed that he would stumble when it came to marriage, forced to wed a princess from a declining royal house?
[Before the Wedding]
Strategist Gan Jia: "Zhou's Princess Huan is a great beauty, talented and charming. It'd be nice to marry her and have something lovely to look at."
The Crown Prince scoffed: "Do you take me for a man who indulges in sensual pleasures and debauchery?"
[After the Wedding]
What does it mean to savor a pleasure until you can't get enough? What does it mean for love to make even a hero lose his resolve?
Ask him. He knows better than anyone.
[Reading Tips]
1. The prose may be a little obscure at the start, but it'll get more straightforward later. ( ̄▽ ̄)
2. One-on-one romance, happy ending. The setting is inspired by the Eastern Zhou and Spring and Autumn periods, but this is entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! Don't argue about it, or you'll go bald! (≧?≦)
[This novel is participating in a writing contest themed around science and national development. Reason for entering: The heroine promotes medicine in a backward era when witchcraft is widespread, advancing society.]
Upcoming Novel Blurb
The King's Beloved Queen
[Blurb from the Male Lead's Perspective]
Mu Yue joined the army as a youth, and took the throne at twenty. He ruled a prosperous and fertile land.
In the court, there were countless ministers of great talent and ambition. In the harem, his consorts were all peerless beauties.
Mu Yue had been at the pinnacle of life from the moment he was born.
He was arrogant and cold, reckless and contemptuous of all.
He thought his life would always be this splendid, without a ripple in sight...
Yu Xiaoyao's arrival shattered his calm and self-assurance.
[First Meeting with Xiaoyao]
Mu Yue sneered: "Tsk, you're quite an ugly woman. You're an eyesore. Who gave you permission to enter my tent and touch me so casually?"
Mu Yue asked General Gu: "General Gu, shall I bestow this demon woman upon you? Ah, no, this physician named Xiaoyao. Would you like her? She's ugly and ill-tempered, but she's a woman, at least. With the lights out, she could keep your bed warm."
[Falling for Xiaoyao]
General Gu: "Your Majesty once said you would bestow Physician Yu upon me. I didn't answer then, but now I ask Your Majesty to honor those words. If I have her, I will treat her as my principal wife and cherish her alone."
Mu Yue raged: "Gu Qun, don't think your military achievements mean I wouldn't dare kill you."
As Xiaoyao was a prisoner of war, King Mu thought he had already been exceedingly generous to her, giving her the highest favor.
He always thought Xiaoyao would stay by his side for the rest of her life, coming whenever he called and leaving whenever he sent her away.
Beneath the city walls, a vast army laid siege.
King Mu used Xiaoyao as a hostage, hoping to trade her for Fan Ji, the woman he loved.
King Mu knew that Xiaoyao was the eldest princess of the state of Zi, the elder sister of its king.
But he never expected that when he saw the cold, merciless arrow of the King of Zi pierce Xiaoyao's chest,
his usually composed gaze would shatter bit by bit... Regret and pain swallowed him in an instant...
[Blurb from the Female Lead's Perspective]
She was the eldest princess of Zi. With her own strength, she held up half of her declining kingdom, all so she could pass it on safely to her frail, chronically ill younger brother.
As turmoil stirred, she concealed her identity and placed herself at King Mu's side, hoping to find her missing brother and help him reclaim the throne.
She was rational and resilient, yet she still found herself falling deeper and deeper into King Mu's tender web of love...
She had never wronged anyone in her life, yet she never expected that the two men she loved most would...
One was the only man she had ever loved. He used her as a hostage to save the life of his favored consort.
The other was the younger brother she had cherished since childhood. He coldly drove an arrow into her chest...
[Reading Tips]
1. The male lead has consorts early on, but later devotes himself to one woman alone. He loves no other woman, only the heroine.
2. The heroine is the most beautiful woman in the world, but disguises her appearance at first.
3. There is both sweetness and angst, though the angst is limited. Happy ending.
Theme: Face each day with effort and optimism, and happiness will always be by your side.
I've been very busy recently and haven't had much time to read. I waited until today to finish reading this book. I have to say that my wife's article is really surprising. It is a very thoughtful article. Although the rest of the story is a little rushed, both the writing and the plot are great and worth recalling. The male and female protagonists get along with each other delicately and warmly. I really like to see such sweet pets. The male protagonist is strong and the female protagonist is talented. The two of them are perfect together. Such a couple should always be happy! Ps I think Chi Nu is very handsome. I would like to praise my wife's writing style again, it is really good, antique, grand yet delicate. Come on, madam, I'm waiting for you to finish the book.
It's over, I haven't seen enough TAT
No, I want to watch Du Chong! Hum(ノ=Д=)ノ┻━┻
When will the next book be released????
Why is there only one extra chapter? It's too little.
Ahhhhhh, this episode is so awesome
Speechless, I bought the last two chapters, and they turned out to be anti-theft chapters.
