The Movie Star Got Blacklisted Again Today

Filming begins on the period martial arts drama Rising Tide. Zhang Xiangwei walks up to the senior actor he’ll be working with, bows stiffly, manages a smile, and says nervously, “Hello, Mr. Huo.” Huo Chen gives him a cool look. “Mm.” Then he walks away. Zhang Xiangwei’s face falls. He doesn’t know what to do. I’m done for. The senior actor must know I have a fan page for him and think I’m using his fame. The aloof award-winning actor enters the lounge, takes out his personal phone, and logs into the fan page with his secret account. He completes his sign-in, taps a bunch of links in the fan group’s pinned post to collect check-ins, then scrolls through the page until he comes across a behind-the-scenes photo from the first day of filming. The young man stands beside the director, his slender shoulders and back wrapped in a white shirt. His finely sculpted profile turned to the side, he listens intently to something, one hand lifting the beige baseball cap on his head. A few strands of black hair lie across his smooth, full forehead. His clear, dewy eyes are slightly lowered, long, thick lashes casting a shadow, and the corners of his eyes curve gently and beautifully. The award-winning actor’s Adam’s apple bobs as he swallows. He slides his finger across the screen, liking and reposting the photo, then comments: “My sweet darling, mine.” [] Older gong, nontraditional entertainment industry, not based on real people, light story, questionable logic, dating and being all over each other.
