Jessica Todd was born in Crime Alley. Her mother was a prostitute who never cared for her, even after Jessica was old enough to understand. Two weeks ago, her mother simply abandoned her and left. The girl scraped by stealing wallets and doing odd jobs. For convenience, she cut off her long hair and disguised herself as a boy. One day, she spotted a magnificent Batmobile and was about to steal a tire when Batman caught her red-handed.
"Listen carefully. I'm only going to ask once, kid. Are you hungry?" The towering nightmare of Gotham gave Jessica a moment she'd never forget for the rest of her life.
