The Lord Is a Thousand-Year-Old Demon

Count and Countess Lin En sacrificed themselves to summon an Abyssal monster to drive back the enemy. By a twist of fate, they summoned Jin Run, a thousand-year-old demon. Since he was already there, he decided to make the best of it. In return for their accidental act having helped him escape his pursuers, Jin Run agreed to honor the sacrificial contract and raise the Lin family's orphan. But the Heavenly Dao of this world can't stand him and keeps throwing obstacles in his way. How does a mighty thousand-year-old demon, a mountain king in his own right, end up unable to kill a single human who talks back to him?

He can't use any offensive spells.

He can't use any illusion spells.

What's the point of being alive? Forget it. I'll transmigrate back and wait to die.

Wait, that's not right. Anyone who tries to kill his little mission target can be killed? Oh, now that's interesting! Heavenly Dao, you want to play with me? Then bring it on!

As a great demon with lofty ideals, even in another world, he won't go without land, money, or underlings! Jin Run gets himself a lordship.

Life is too hard, so he'll build houses and roads, and get all kinds of food, drink, and entertainment going. Who knew that if life got too good, the people would all start seeing him as the guiding light of their lives, and end up raising him to the throne of a god!

Oh ho ho, that's so embarrassing! (Laughs maniacally.)

This is an inspirational story about working hard for a better life (?), doing whatever it takes along the way! Sigh, so many people depend on me. I've got it rough!
